While some recent smartphones launched with Android 8.0 Oreo, OnePlus’s latest flagship smartphone arrived with Android 7.1.1 Nougat. During the launch event, the Chinese company also revealed Android 8.0 Oreo update plans for the OnePlus 5T as well as the OnePlus 5.
Android 8.0 Oreo open beta will be launched later this month for the OnePlus 5 units, while OnePlus 5T users can expect it by the end of December. OnePlus didn’t reveal an exact time frame for the final OTA build, but it should arrive in early 2018, unfortunately.
