Those changes concern the outlook as well. But many think the company has copied the iPhone 7 design. Seems they are right. Anyway, we are dealing with one of the most powerful smartphones in the globe that comes with the latest chip of Qualcomm, Snapdragon 835. The latter can be found on the Xiaomi Mi 6 as well as Samsung Galaxy S8. But what’s amazing the 5th-gen OnePlus also features an 8GB of RAM. So this is one of the fastest handsets in the world. As for features, the OnePlus 5 comes with a 3300mAh battery that supports Dash charging. This fast charging technology works on a low-voltage program at 5V / 4A output power. The Samsung Galaxy S8 sports a smaller battery of 3000mAh capacity. It supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge technology, undoubtedly. But the version still remains a mystery, though many say it’s QC2.0 at 9V / 1.67 output power.
Well, the test was held to find out which of these Snapdragon 835 – powered handsets charge faster. Both devices were completely discharged when connected to a power supply. After 15 minutes the OnePlus 5 was charged up to 29% (957mAh), while the Samsung Galaxy S8 reached 20% (600mAh).
After 30 minutes the OnePlus 5 was full by 58%, while the Samsung Galaxy S8 was charged up to 39%.
It turns out OnePlus’ Dash charging technology is the way better than what the Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with. Apart of faster charging, it protects the device during the whole process.
