OnePlus has started to roll out a new minor update to the OnePlus 3. The new OxygenOS 3.2.8 update is a relatively minor one, but does bring a few new features and some much-needed fixes.
The update adds the ability to capture 1080p videos at 60fps and emergency calling with triple press of the power button for India. The Indian government has ordered phone manufacturer to add a panic button on all their devices, so OnePlus is simply complying with the new rule. This feature will not be available in other markets however.
The OxygenOS 3.2.8 update also brings optimization for Snapchat and fixes the various video calling and scrolling lags that some OnePlus 3 owners have been experiencing for some time now. Additionally, the update includes general bug fixes and increased system stability.
Since OnePlus has started rolling out the OTA update only a few hours back, some of you may have to wait a few days for the update to arrive for your unit. The rollout seems to be global at this point, so regardless of which region you are in, you should expect to see the OTA update pop up for your device within the next few days. OnePlus is also planning to release the Android Nougat beta update for OnePlus 3 users before the end of the month.
Next month, OnePlus expects to begin rolling out the final Android Nougat update for the OnePlus 3. The new OnePlus 3T too will be receiving the Nougat update next month.
