NVIDIA has rolled out new graphics drivers compatible with some of its GPU models, namely the version 341.98 for GeForce legacy card, as well as the 373.06 update targeted at its Quadro P5000 and P6000 video chipsets.
In terms of changes, while the 341.98 GeForce release adds security updates for driver components of Tesla architecture class GPUs., the 373.03 Quadro driver improves framerate consistency in VR games and applications with the supported graphics cards.
When it comes to compatibility, both updates are suitable for Microsoft’s 32- and 64-bit architectures of its Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 operating systems. Also, the available files are supported on both desktop and notebook configurations as well.
As for installation, first, make sure your computer is valid for one of these new versions, save the appropriate package suitable for your system, run it, wait for all files required for the upgrade to be extracted, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen.
Once completed, make sure to give the wizard permission to perform a reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this task isn’t requested automatically, it would be a good idea to carry it out manually.
