NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti specs surface online

Alleged final specifications of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti have leaked online, courtesy of a forum member on the OC3D forums. Surprisingly, the forum member spotted these specifications listed on the NVIDIA website. The page is no longer available on the NVIDIA website, as it was pulled down shortly after it went live (accidentally?).

From the spec-sheet, it appears the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is going to be based on the GP102 silicon, similar to the NVIDIA’s latest flagship graphics card, the new Titan X Pascal. However, it will ship with 4 streaming multiprocessors disabled. As a result, the card will feature a total of 3328 CUDA cores, 256 less than the GTX Titan X Pascal but 768 more than the GTX 1080. It will also include 208 Texture Mapping Units and 96 Raster Operation Units. The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will be a significant downgrade over the Titan X Pascal in terms of memory as well. According to the spec-sheet, it will ship with 12GB of GDDR5 memory on a 384-bit wide interface, as opposed to the faster GDDR5X memory on the Titan X Pascal.

As for clocks, the reference card could ship with a 1503 MHz core and 1623 MHz GPU boost clock. Memory will be clocked at 8 GHz. Thermal and power specs remain similar to the GTX Titan X, with a TDP rating of 250W and 600W recommended system power. The GTX 1080 Ti will draw power using 1 8-pin + 1 6-pin power connectors.

While the specifications of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti are no more a secret now, it is still not clear when NVIDIA plans to release the card. NVIDIA did surprise everyone by launching the new GTX Titan X earlier than expected, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is made official sometime in the fourth quarter of the year. Since the card is going to be positioned between the GeForce GTX 1080 and the Pascal GeForce GTX Titan X, expect it to be priced around the $800 to $900 mark when it goes on sale.
