According to latest reports, NVIDIA is going to debut the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and the GTX 1050 on the 25th of this month. The GeForce GTX 1050 Ti will launch with 4GB of GDDR5 memory, while the less expensive GeForce GTX 1050 will include 2GB of GDDR5 memory on a 128-bit memory interface.

In addition to the announcement date, new 3DMark benchmark results of the upcoming GeForce GTX 1050 Ti have also been leaked online once again. The GTX 1050 Ti sample was installed in a system powered by the Intel Core i7-4770K and made to go through the 3DMark Fire Strike Ultra (DirectX 11) and 3DMark Time Spy (DirectX 12). It managed a score of 1,895 points in the 3DMark Fire Strike Ultra test and 1,853 points for graphics. In the 3DMark Time Spy, it scored 2,513 points with a 2,370 graphics score.

As expected, these scores are higher than the AMD Radeon RX 460 and pretty much identical to the previous generation GeForce GTX 960. This also means that the standard GeForce GTX 1050 would be able to match the performance of the Radeon RX 460 in most benchmarks and games.

Based on the GP107 silicon, both the GeForce GTX 1050 and the GeForce GTX 1050 cards will have a TDP of just 75W and thus will not require an additional PCIe power connector. In terms of pricing, the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti is expected to start at $149 in the US market, while the less powerful GeForce GTX 1050 is going to start at $119. For the kind of performance on offer, both these cards will offer impressive value.
