Nvidia can now test its autonomous vehicles in California. The state’s Department of Motor Vehicles granted the company, which is primarily known for its graphics cards, permission to drive on public roads. Nvidia is primarily working on autonomous vehicle tech that’ll be sold to auto makers.
It is testing entire vehicles in order to improve the products it’ll offer to other companies.
A video released by Nvidia in September shows one of its AI-powered vehicles, known as BB8.
This license enables the company to test its vehicle technology in more realistic situations.
