Although we know much about Nintendo’s upcoming gaming console, there are still a lot of things we don’t know, especially in terms of performance. The flagship game for Nintendo Switch, the Breath of the Wild, won’t run at 1080p as some reports suggested.
According to latest information, the game will run at 900p and 30fps when Switch is hooked up to a TV. That is a small bump from Wii U’s 720p/30fps, but expect to see slightly better graphics while playing on the new console. The console will support 1080p gameplay when docked, but it looks like it won’t be powerful enough to run flagship Zelda games at that resolution. There is also a high possibility that none of the flagship games will be running at 1080p. Guess we’ll find out soon enough.
