Nintendo won’t share the Switch’s internal specs until a couple months before its release, but details about the system are leaking out. The latest leak is that the Switch uses 4 GB of RAM, double what the Wii U included and half of what’s found in the latest Sony and Microsoft consoles.
Alright. I have some good news. I can confirm that Switch has 4GB of ram in RETAIL units. Not just the dev kits. Double the Wii U's ram.

Switch developer kits are believed to include 4 GB, but some reports suggested the retail units would only come with 2 GB. The confirmation that this isn’t true comes from Emily Rogers, who accurately shared info about the Switch prior to its unveil.
The specs that have been mentioned so far place the Switch more in the handheld gaming market than the home console market. Its at-home performance may not really compare to what’s offered by the PS4 and Xbox One.
