For almost half a year, Nextbit has been tested the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Robin smartphone. Today, the cloud smartphone is finally receiving the final version of the Android 7.0 Nougat, but it may take a while before it reaches all units in the wild.
Unfortunately, the update only includes the January 5, 2017 security patch level. Since the company has been acquired by Razer a couple of months ago, it is safe to assume that they won’t be developing Android O update for the handset. They did promise to keep software support for the Robin alive until 2018.
