The next version of Nissan’s popular Leaf electric vehicle will come with autonomous highway driving capabilities. It’ll feature Nissan’s ProPilot tech, which was revealed last summer as part of its Serena minivan. Nissan hasn’t said when it will make the new model available.
ProPilot allows for single lane autonomous driving and it’s currently limited to highways.
The upcoming Leaf’s self-driving ability was revealed by CEO Carlos Ghosn at CES.
We work to bring the right technologies for the full spectrum of our vehicles and the most amount of people. This takes more than innovation. It takes ingenuity. And it’s exactly what we deliver through Nissan Intelligent Mobility. – Ghosn
