Following multiple Call of Duty games set in the future, it appears Activision is going to bring the franchise back to the past. Multiple sources are now claiming this year’s entry in the series will be called “WWII,” indicating it’s set during the Second World War.
Earlier this month, a leak revealed marketing material for the game and also suggested it would be set during WW2.
When Activision COO Thomas Tippl described the next entry, he said it would take “Call of Duty back to its roots,” adding more support to these claims.
