Xiaomi has already proven it can even lead the laptops markets. The first model was announced back in 2013. But what’s more interesting, the vast majority of them are packed either with i5 or i7 processors. Thus, they are aiming at higher niches. To fix this shortcoming, it has issued a statement recently, saying there will be two new models packed with Intel’s i3 chips. That’s not difficult to guess one of them has a 13.3-inch screen, while the second one uses a 15.6-inch screen. Shortly, now you can acquire the i3-powered variants of the Xiaomi Notebook Air 13 and Xiaomi Notebook Youth Edition.

Xiaomi Notebook Youth Edition Review
The Core i3-8130U is based on Kaby Lake Refresh architecture, dual-core four-thread design, 14-nanometer process, clocked at 2.20GHz (the maximum core frequency is 3.40GHz), TDP 15W, and core display model of UHD Graphics 620.
Say, in contrast, the i5-7200U, which also uses a 14-nanometer process, comes with two dual cores and four threads, with a frequency of 2.50GHz, a core frequency of 3.10GHz, a 15W TDP, and a core display model of HD Graphics 620. It can be seen that the new i3 low-voltage processor is equivalent to the i5-7200U. With an 8GB memory and a 128GB SSD, it is good to process documents and to perform light image work.
The rest of the features remain the same. Thus, the Xiaomi Notebook Air 13 sports a 13.3-inch Full HD IPS screen, front camera for video chat, 5400mAh battery, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and 128GB of SSD M2 hard drive. Though this is not 4G-enabled, it is great in terms of connectivity. There are 2 USB3.0 ports, USB Type-C port, and dual-band WiFi support. However, the selling point of this laptop is considered to be the fingerprint scanner placed on the upper right side of the trackpad.
