Earlier this year, Xiaomi launched its first game notebook. And though it was greeted with cheers, there was a weak link in its hardware – the 7th generation Intel Core i processors. Less than a week after the release of Xiaomi Gaming Laptop, other vendors launched identical models packed with the latest 8th-gen chips. So many customers were getting their hands on the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air.

However, Xiaomi doesn’t sit tight. Last week, Xiaomi’s official WeChat public account announced an event called ‘The Birth of Monsters.” What can be called a monster born? A high-performance PC? No matter what we are thinking of because the net is buzzing about the new Xiaomi Gaming Laptop sporting the 8th-gen Intel Core i processors.
Yesterday, the manufacturer released the first poster of the upcoming Xiaomi Gaming Laptop, saying there had been left 5 days before its launch. It is reported this product will debut at ChinaJoy 2018 on August 3.
As for today. The company released the second poster. But there is no information concerning the forthcoming laptop. So everything we can do is to make assumptions.
According to some rumors on the net, the CPU performance will be enhanced a lot. And the new Xiaomi Gaming Laptop is expected to be equipped with GTX 1060 and GTX 1050 Ti graphics cards. If you remember, the first-gen model came with an Intel’s 7th generation Core i5/i7 processor paired with a GeForce GTX1050Ti/GTX1060 graphics, 8GB/16GB DDR4 RAM, and 256GB SSD + 1TB mechanical hard drive support. At the same time, it sports a 15.6-inch ultra-narrow bezel screen, with a wide 72% NTSC color gamut and 178-degree wide viewing angle, 2x3W speakers supporting world premiere Dolby Panorama Sound, a 3 + 2 large diameter bold heat pipe, and so on. We think most of these features will remain the same. And the major changes will include the Intel i7-8550U and i5-8250U chipsets.
