This afternoon, Xiaomi officially released the new Xiaomi Gaming Laptop in Shanghai at China Joy. The processor has been upgraded to the 8th generation Intel Core processor. The new Xiaomi Gaming Laptop with an eight-generation chips features a minimalist shape with no logo on the front. It comes with a full-size four-zone backlit keyboard and an ambient light chassis. The back provides up to 10 interfaces with a reasonable layout, which can meet the needs of both business and games.
The new Xiaomi Gaming Laptop is packed with a Core i7-8750H. Thus, this is Intel’s first notebook processor with six physical cores. Compared with the previous generation of i7-7700HQ, the system performance of the i7-8750H increased by 31.7%; the performance of office applications increased by 76.7%; the performance of design applications increased by 92.2%.
At the same time, there is a built-in NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 game graphics card, with up to 16GB dual-channel DDR4 memory + 256GB solid state drive + 1TB mechanical hard drive combination. This notebook fully uses DDR4-2666 high-speed memory and 256GB PCIe high-speed solid-state hard disk, while reserving a second M.2 PCIe/SATA SSD card.
The sound system of the whole machine also supports Dolby panoramic sound-game enhancements and has obtained Hi-Res high-quality audio certification. Due to these enhancements in all aspects, the laptop is called an e-sports performance monster.
