Microsoft’s Xbox boss Phil Spencer says there won’t be new titles in the Halo or Gears of War franchises this year. While speaking on IGN’s Unfiltered podcast, Spencer noted, “it’s going to be an interesting year for us because we don’t have Gears, we don’t have a Halo first-person shooter game.”
Those series have long been some of the top games on Xbox. Gears of War 4 was released last year, while the latest Halo title was released for the Xbox One in 2015.
Some of the Xbox One games that’ll be promoted by Microsoft this year are Sea of Thieves and State of Decay.
