Several manufacturers have released new GeForce GT 1030 graphics cards, normally these have gddr5 memory, however, the new model now get ddr4. The video cards also get a lower rated tdp according to the specifications.
The slower memory will likely make them perform lower as well. This memory type gets you a theoretical throughput of 16 GB/s, and that’s quite a bit less compared to 48 GB/s that you get with the gddr5 model of the GT 1030. The clock speed is roughly 5 six percent slower for all cards as well. The TDP is incredibly low now, 20 to 30 watts. Presumably, the DDR4 models will be a notch cheaper, however, prices remain TBA.
You can check it out for yourself, MSI , Gigabyte and Palit all have three models listed with 2 GB of DDR4 memory on their website. Via hwi and tomshardware.
