It is no secret that Chrome browser is hard on battery. Even Microsoft made a video that showed how bad the Google’s internet browser is. Google promised to improve battery life in the upcoming versions, but until now, they haven’t made any big difference.
Chrome 53 is now officially out and there are two important improvements – Material Design and power consumption enhancements. The company promises big performance and power efficiency improvements, but we’ll have to wait for first real-life tests. Other improvements include HiDPI, dark mode for incognito mode, and color emoji support for Windows 10 users.
