Netflix has debuted a special interactive form of content targeted at children. The streaming service’s new “choose your own adventure” stories let kids navigate a story in unique ways. While the format is initially meant for kids, it could potentially expand at some point.
Reports earlier this year indicated Netflix was working on this kind of content.
“Puss in Book: Trapped in an Epic Tale,” one of the first stories, is now available. Another, “Buddy Thunderstruck: The Maybe Pile,” will arrive on July 14.
With the Puss in Book story, viewers get to decide how the story will progress at 13 points. Two different endings are included. Depending on the options people pick along the way, the story will last 18 to 39 minutes.
