Moto X Play Android Nougat 7.0 update features, Motorola in November last year released a list of smartphones that will be receiving the Nougat update. While as many as 15 Moto smartphones received the update, the Moto X Play was left behind.
In a tweet posted on Monday, Moto India said, “Nougat will come to the Moto X Play soon.” However, the company has said that it is currently unable to provide a “definite release” for the update.
Android Nougat brings in a bunch of new features including split-screen multitasking, more customisable quick settings, better battery life, improved Google keyboard, enhanced notifications and recent applications window.
Further, the latest Android OS version also brings in ‘Double Tap’ on the Recent button to switch between the two most recent apps which come in very handy at times.
For extended battery life, Android Nougat comes with ‘Doze on the go’ which will get activated even if your Nougat running device is in your pocket.

In terms of specifications, Moto X Play smartphone features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display offering a pixel density of 403pppi. It also features Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
The smartphone is powered by a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. In terms of optics, Moto X Play comes with a 21-megapixel rear camera which has a f/2.0 aperture and CCT (Colour Correlated Temperature) flash with dual-LED modules.
