A few weeks back, China’s TENAA had certified an upcoming Motorola smartphone dubbed the Moto M. While the device hasn’t yet been made official by the manufacturer, new renders and live images showing the handset have emerged online.

Unlike other Motorola smartphones released this year, the Moto M will feature an all-metal build with the fingerprint scanner positioned at the back. It also appears to have a curved back towards the sides, which should make it quite comfortable to hold in the hand.

The Moto M will feature a 5.5-inch LCD display with 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution and is going to be powered by an octa-core SoC clocked at 2.2 GHz. It will ship with 4GB of RAM, paired with either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. For further expansion, a microSD card slot will be on offer as well. In the camera department, the Moto M is equipped with a 16MP primary shooter at the back and an 8MP unit on the front for taking selfies. The smartphone will also offer a 3000mAh capacity battery, which is pretty decent for a mid-range smartphone. On the software front, the Moto M is expected to go on sale with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

While no confirmed launch date has been rumored yet, it is being speculated that the Moto M could be unveiled next month. It also remains to be seen if the device will be sold globally or only in a select few markets.
