Moto M and Lenovo P2 to Make Their Debut on November 8

Specs and images of the upcoming Moto M have been leaking for a few weeks now, without any rumors of its release date. TechDroider recently reported that the smartphone could be announced in China on November 8, together with the Lenovo P2.

The report mentions that the Moto M and Lenovo P2 could make their debut in Guangzhou, China on the eighth day of November. Lenovo intends to organize an official event for the unveiling and it’s unclear if the Moto M will be made available for purchase on the same day.

Chances are that fans won’t have to wait long until they can get their hands on the new Lenovo P2, considering that the smartphone already made an appearance during another event this year. Lenovo showcased the Lenovo P2 during IFA 2016, together with the Lenovo A Plus.

Moto M could come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory

Lenovo P2 is a mid-range with a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display and an octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset, coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes in two variants, the Chinese version has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, while the global version packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of local storage.

The smartphone has a fingerprint sensor in the front and a 5MP, with a 13MP camera in the back. The phone’s selling point will surely be its highly capable battery with a capacity of 5,100mAh. The global variant of the phone costs $278.

Some specs for the Moto M have leaked over the past few weeks, indicating that the smartphone could come with a 5.5-inch 1080p HD screen with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It has Gorilla Glass 4 on top of the screen and runs an octa-core MediaTek MT6755 chipset clocked at 2.1GHz and coupled with Mali-T860MP2 GPU.

Rear camera capacity might reach 16MP with an 8MP selfie shooter in the front and a 3,000mAh battery for keeping the phone’s lights on. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner on the back and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
