Hello there Xiaomi fans and users, today I bring you the full changelog and download links to the latest iteration of the Global Beta MIUI 8 software for Xiaomi smartphones, MIUI 8 Global Beta ROM 6.10.20. I’m sorry this is coming late; I’ve been busy with some things. About two days ago, the MIUI 8 Global Beta ROM 6.10.20 Changelog Preview was released and I told you that this week’s update is going to bring massive bug fixes and optimisations, and I wasn’t joking when I said that. Though they are not as much as I expected, the new bug fixes in MIUI 8 Global Beta ROM 6.10.20 are definitely significant and would go a long way in improving user experience on supported Xiaomi smartphones.
In this week’s update, a wide range of Xiaomi devices are supported (if not all) and as usual, you are given the option to update your phone either via Fastboot or via Recovery. I’m sorry to inform you that the MIUI 8 Global Beta ROM 6.10.20 update for both the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm Edition and Special Edition has been suspended until further notice because both failed our stability test for this new ROM, and flashing it might cause massive system errors.
Xiaomi Redmi 2 and Redmi 2 Prime users can rejoice, however, because those two smartphones have not been suspended from getting this week’s update, as is the case many times.

Sidenote: Only one new feature was added this week because our developers had to concentrate on fixing all existing bugs. Nevertheless, we’re sure you would be thankful by the time you flash the update 😉 .
UPDATE: The one new feature added has been suspended due to bugs noticed when using it. We’re sorry we’re edging out the only new thing this week, but it’s for the greater good.
- Recent Apps now has a new transition animation. This is explained better in the changelog preview.
- Every week, new wallpapers will be added to the Wallpaper Carousel for Indian citizens.
- Content for news feed in Browser has been optimised (also for Indian citizens only).
- MIUI Forum app has been optimised. Performance has improved, likewise speed.
- Improved battery and performance stability.

Problem(s) you might encounter
- If you’re using the latest developer ROM on Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm, please don’t flash back to stable ROM or developer ROM prior to 6.9.9, otherwise, there might be SIM card recognition issue.
- Download button might freeze while downloading apps from Mi picks on Redmi 2.
