Middle-earth: Shadow Of Mordor is finally getting a sequel, and we already have a launch date. Monolith put out the official announcement trailer following a leak by Target earlier this week, which shows off an open world along with an enhanced Nemesis System, and you’ll actually be able to confront Sauron.
The game will once again follow Talion and Celebrimbor as they take on new foes:
Go behind enemy lines to forge your army, conquer Fortresses and dominate Mordor from within. Experience how the award winning Nemesis System creates unique personal stories with every enemy and follower, and confront the full power of the Dark Lord Sauron and his Ringwraiths in this epic new story of Middle-earth.
The game is launching on August 22 in the U.S. for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. If you’re interested, you can already pre-order the game on Steam and the Xbox Store. There’s a $299 Middle-earth: Shadow of War Mithril Edition that comes with a 12-inch statue of Balrog battling a dragon, a cloth map of Mordor, in-game Mithril War chest, as well as a host of other additions.
