232

Microsoft recently rolled out major updates for its Android launcher. The company added support for tablet devices and brought a whole set of new features to its Arrow Launcher recently. This week, the company has started testing a new beta update for the launcher that brings some more new features for Android users. Unlike the recent updates, the latest one isn’t huge but it does introduce some pretty useful features.

Firstly, the Apps page in Arrow Launcher now lets you hide app labels, lock app, and widget position and it also lets you create a blank apps page with the latest update. In addition to this, Microsoft has updated the Date/Time widget for the launcher as it now shows you your upcoming alarms, and an option to display weather for multiple cities.

Moreover, Microsoft is bringing support for PDFs to the Arrow Launcher, which will presumably let you view PDFs from the Recent Documents section. The update brings a couple of other features, so -’s the full changelog:

  • Apps page: Hide icon title; lock App & Widget position; moveable app draw icon (as shortcut widget); add blank apps page
  • Date/Time widget: show next alarm time; support multiple cities weather
  • Setting: Introduce new features with video snippet
  • Document: support PDF format
  • Swipe right to BACK for all pages

These new features are being tested with users who are part of the Arrow Launcher beta program, but it will likely get rolled out to more users next week. If you want to be able to try out the new features before anyone else, you can sign-up for the beta program -. And you can get the app itself from the Google Play Store -.
