Microsoft will let developers incorporate Xbox Clubs into games

Xbox Clubs is a remarkable feature which allows gamers to join particular groups and find people looking for similar experiences. Let’s say you want to play Destiny all the time. Well, you can do that by either looking for a club which already does that or by starting your own and inviting friends. Microsoft made it easy for gamers to connect by introducing the service. It’s comparable to similar ones on Facebook which feature a chat room and space to post clips, screenshots and even messages.

According to Windows Central, Microsoft will soon let game developers use Xbox Clubs inside their games. Starting in April, programmers will be able to incorporate the feature so that they can create clans or guilds and sync them with Xbox Live. For example, a game like Neverwinter, which requires large groups of gamers in different faction to coordinate, can easily communicate with one another.

The document they received discusses other improvements coming to Xbox One like optimizations to the leaderboards and ability to run diagnostics on hardware. When Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One, it was a rather raw system and it has definitely grown since then. Despite all the improvements, the console still has a long ways to go. Changes like giving developers the ability to incorporate Xbox Clubs into their games is definitely one step in the right direction.
