Earlier this week Microsoft debuted an update to the Windows 10 Maps app for Windows Insiders on the Fast Ring, the update is now rolling out to users on the Release Preview.

The app update makes it easier for users to tell Microsoft when the Windows Maps app has got something wrong, either with the search results providing a location that is way too far, or the landmarks are wrong and old.  While you can ordinarily leave feedback for Microsoft’s apps anyway via the hamburger menu, the firm is improving the way it takes in feedback and making it more convenient for users oo provide exactly what they feel is wrong with the maps app rather tha drilling thrpugh layer upon layer in the feedback app.

In this Maps update, you can now tell us if something is wrong with the map itself, such as a missing road or a city name in the wrong language, just by pointing and describing what’s wrong. You can also tell us if search isn’t finding the thing you want, or if search is doing something silly like giving you a hospital in a list of Italian restaurants. If we’ve got the details about a business wrong, such as its location or opening hours, there’s now an easy to way to report that as well. And finally, if we don’t know about the hot new bistro that just opened this afternoon, you can be the first to tell us by adding the business information directly into Maps.

The new version number is 5.1611.3192.0 and you can get it from the store link below:
