Last month, Microsoft released a major new update for its Authenticator app on Windows, Android, and iOS. The update introduced a brand new design, a seamless authorization process, support for smartwatches, and much more. Today, Microsoft released a new update for the Authenticator app on iOS to beta testers. The update brings a much-needed feature, and that is support for push notifications. With the latest update, when you need to authorize a request for one of your Microsoft (or any other) accounts, the Authenticator app will notify you about the request — and you can approve, or ignore it right on the notification.
For those wondering, this feature is already available on Android and Windows Phone. As a reminder, the update is only available for the Authenticator Beta app, which is available via TestFlight on iOS.
