It seems smartphone makers are obsessed with curved displays. Once the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge was launched last year, many manufacturers began designing handsets with similar displays. Even Chinese manufacturers launching budget handsets have come with such ideas. For example, Xiaomi is going to launch a few smartphone with curved displays dubbed as the Mi Note 2 or/and Mi Edge aka m96. At the moment another Chinese manufacturer, Meizu is a step ahead, and it’s been quite expected it will come with a curved display smartphone as well. Moreover, users have been waiting for Meizu to pack some of its forthcoming handsets with Exynos 8890 CPU for a better performance. It has been thought to be the successor of the Meizu Pro 6 dubbed as the Meizu Pro 7. Now we can say some of these rumors are correct while the next part is not. So, the upcoming Meizu smartphone powered with the Exynos 8890 CPU will be the enhanced variant of the Pro 6 but it will be called the Meizu Pro 6 Plus.

Meizu is very active currently in terms of designing and launching new handsets. As you should be aware recently it has launched two the most anticipated smartphones on its lineup, and you can stay calm as both of them will see respectable prices. I am sure because even the Meizu M3E pre-orders exceed 3 million in 24 hours. As for the U10 and U20, no one doubts there will be problems. Anyway, there have been some complaints concerning the Meizu Pro 6. People were displeased why the manufacturer has chosen the MediaTek Helio X25 CPU instead of the Samsung Exynos 8890. No one knew the real reason, but many have been awaiting for an enhancement. Fortunately, the manufacturer has taken into account all the criticism referring to its current flagship and decided to launch a boosted version of the Pro 6.

Not that much know as of now, but it is claimed the Meizu Pro 6 Plus will come with the desirable Exynos 8890 CPU, Sony Exmore RS IMX386 CMOS, 2K AMOLED screen that should be curved and HiFi. In terms of enhancement, the manufacturer doesn’t make many changes and adds only a curved screen and replaces the processor. So it’s quite comprehensible why the name of the phone is the Pro 6 Plus instead of Pro 7. We have already seen such a field night especially at Apple that launches one main model, then the Cupertino based company released an enhanced variant of it with ‘Plus’ addition. Has Meizu started playing big?
