There have been so many speculations and rumors about the much expected Meizu Pro 7 flagship. Numerous renderings have so far been produced by enthusiastic fans. But the device still remains out of our reach and Meizu seems not to be saying anything about its possible launch. Well, we have got some words out of one of Meizu’s senior VP about the Pro 7.
An excited Meizu fan from Russia who can’t wait for the Meizu Pro 7 flagship made two renderings of the Meizu Pro 7 showing a full-screen display and metal/glass body which looks very amazing. This got the attention of Jeffery Yang, Meizu’s senior VP in charge of high-end phones, who deeply appreciated the passion of the fan but revealed that the Meizu Pro 7 will be better, more elegant and beautiful than the renderings.
This is the first time we are getting an official public response about what Meizu Pro 7 could look like. The VP’s statement is also an indication the Pro 7 is in the pipeline since it is coming from Mr Yang who recently joined the team as VP for the high-end Meizu division from TCL.
The current trend for most smartphones is their high screen to body ratio, a pace set by Xiaomi Mi Mix followed by other top-of-the-line smartphones such as LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8. As of now, it is not known whether Meizu Pro 7 will sport a full-screen design or would pack a Qualcomm or Exynos processor. Though Meizu has sorted out its issues with Qualcomm, Meizu Pro 7 may likely not sport the latest Qualcomm chip considering time factor.
In addition, a new leak tends to suggest the Pro 7 will be the next smartphone Meizu will be unveiling, but that wouldn’t be in June. Whatever Meizu unveils this summer, the expectations are high and there is a strong belief that the Meizu Pro 7 will come with some innovation.
