Last week Lenovo K8 Note was announced with Dual-Cameras and Helio X23, and today Meizu M6 Note gets announced. Looks like Xiaomi Mi 5X is going to have competition from both Lenovo and Meizu for the Mid-Range crown. Let’s talk about Meizu M6 Note specs, features and price.
Meizu M6 Note Specs, Price and Availability with Mi 5X and K8 Note comparison
I don’t think anyone will be surprised with the M6 Note specs, especially the Meidatek Helio P25 powering it. Recently, lots of smaller companies like Vernee, Doogee and Blackview all launched Helio P25 devices in the ~200$ price segment. You can check out my personal fave Vernee Mars Pro. With Meizu late to the party, what makes the M6 Note special, compared to other offerings and mostly Mi 5x.
Meizu M6 Note full specs reveal a 5.5-inch SHARP FHD Display with 4GB RAM and 32GB Storage. Looks like Metal phones are here to stay(and I don’t mind)since M6 Note will also use a metal back, just like Mi 5x and K8 Note.
When it comes to cameras, Meizu M6 Note will be the first budget phone by Meizu to feature Dual-Cameras. Using a dual Sony IMX258 camera configuration thanks to Helio P25’s added support for Dual ISP. I expect quite a challenger to Mi 5X and K8 Note which both use different Omnivision camera sensors with K8 Note having a slight advantage, due to better low-light performance.
Meizu’s next Note retains the big 4000mAh battery like its predecessor, so we can expect all three phones to have similar battery experience.
Compared to Qualcomm, Mediatek’s Helio P25 and X23 do tend to drain faster when used intensively. Meizu’s next Note will feature mCharge fast-charging tech, offering faster charging than both Mi 5x and K8 Note.
The official Meizu M6 Note unveiling will take place on August 23rd with price set at 1599 yuan(~240$) for the 4/32GB model. Stay tuned to XiaomiToday.com for Meizu M6 Note Unboxing and Full Review shortly after that.
