Earlier this month Meizu held a conference announcing its budget-friendly smartphone with a decent list of features. The Meizu M5 Note was said to launch at 999 yuan ($145). Fortunately, it was a correct information, and the Meizu M5 Note launched at this price tag becoming one of the players in a thousand-yuan-smartphone market. As you know, this niche is full of different models, and the competition is at the highest level. So the manufacturers try to bring as many useful features as possible. One of the latest models from this niche is the Huawei Enjoy 6S. So in this sense, the Meizu M5 Note should be packed with corresponding features and come at the highest build quality to stand out.

As for the design and key features, we have no doubt it is capable of fighting against any device. The Meizu M5 Note sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display supporting various modes such as sun screen, dark screen, eye mode, and so on, MediaTek P10 octa-core processor paired with a 3 / 4GB RAM, 16 / 32 / 64GB internal memory expandable up to 128GB via a SD card slot, a built-in 4000mAh battery (18W and fast charge technology), 5MP front camera, 13MP rear camera (0.2 sec PDAF phase focusing, ArcSoft algorithm), a front fingerprint scanner with 0.2s unlocking speed, mBack, and Alipay. Plus, the Meizu M5 Note runs on Flyme 6 and thanks to AI acceleration the CPU and memory use efficiency increased by 20%.

The Meizu M5 Note comes with a 2.5D glass, all-metal CNC housing with nano-injection, diamond trimming, and anodizing also known as three-stage process. The phone comes in three color options – black (grey), blue, and gold.

As for pricing, though the Meizu M5 Note is known as a thousand-yuan king, there are three memory combinations at different price tags:

3GB +16GB 899 yuan ($129)

3GB +32GB 999 yuan ($145)

4GB +64GB 1499 yuan ($215.5)
