We haven’t reviewed many TV boxes carrying Mecool brand. If my memory serves me well we have only taken heed of the Mecool HM8. But this brand is very popular among TV box owners, as it provides the best performance at the lowest price. Most likely, no one will mind if I say the most popular model of this company is the Mecool BB2, a great mini PC capable of providing 4K video playback. I guess many of our readers are not familiar with this TV box, but you should know well its main rival dubbed as the YOKA KB2. As of now, the Mecool BB2 has got a price cut and it’s a great opportunity to get acquainted with it.
The Mecool BB2 sports an Amlogic S912 octa-core CPU paired with an ARM Mali-T820MP3, a 3GB of DDR4 RAM and 16GB of ROM that can be expanded up to 32GB via a TF card slot. This TV box runs on Android 6.0 (!) and comes with Kodi 17.0 (!) pre-installed. Thus you can use it as a full-featured mini PC powered with Google’s operating system. Anyway, this TV box is good at connectivity as well – there are an AV, DC 5V, HDMI, RJ45, SPDIF, TF card, and USB2.0 ports and it supports dual band WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac.
Well, the Mecool BB2’s key feature and the selling point is its ability of displaying 4K and 3D videos and games at H.264, H.265, and HD MPEG4. So if you looking for a 4K TV box powered with Android 6.0 and packed with the latest hardware, probably you won’t find anything better than the Mecool BB2. Plus, it is now actively promoted so if using the coupon (code: GBMBB2P) you will be able to get your hands on it for only $75.99.
