LED driver IC supplier Macroblock has reported revenues for the first three quarters of 2016 increased 24.7% from a year earlier to NT$1.88 billion (US$58.7 million), while net profits hiked 78% on year to NT$163 million.
Macroblock’s EPS for the nine-month period came to NT$5.01 compared with NT$2.81 during the same period in 2015.
Macroblock’s EPS is set to top NT$6.50 in 2016, according to market watchers. The company is also expected to enjoy another year of revenue and profit growth in 2017, buoyed by rising shipments for small pitch LED display products, as well as contribution made by its new product line for LED car lights, said the watchers.
Macroblock’s total shipments of LED driver ICs are forecast to increase 30% in 2017, the watchers indicated. Revenues for the year will rise a smaller 10% on year due to falling chip prices, the watchers said.
