Sony has quickly disabled LittleBigPlanet’s servers after new assaults which goal the video games group, fairly than the title itself.

In a Twitter publish asserting the information, the LittleBigPlanet account mentioned that “due to the severity of the recent attacks we have no other option than to temporarily disable the game servers.”

“We do not take these attacks lightly,” the publish continued to say, “especially when they target our loyal community members.” While the publish doesn’t explicitly say what the assaults consisted of, Eurogamer experiences “offensive messages” being the trigger.

This is corroborated by a latest Reddit publish, which claimed that hackers had discovered a strategy to show offensive messages in-game by means of error messages. Regardless of if that is the only purpose for the server outage, Sony and Sumo Digital are clearly taking the problem severely.

LBP Server Update : Due to the severity of the latest assaults we’ve no different possibility than to quickly disable the sport servers. We don’t take these assaults calmly particularly once they goal our loyal group members. Thanks for understanding.
