LG V30 will not have a secondary ticker display, reveals @…

According to reliable leakster @evleaks, LG will ditch the secondary ticker display next year with the V30. In a tweet published earlier today, the leakster revealed that he has got his hands on a few early renders of the V30. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like he plans to share those renders anytime soon.

However, LG fans need not be disappointed, as the leakster added in a reply that LG is going to replace the ticker display with something else. Since he didn’t say anything much about the “replacement”, we’re not sure if it will turn out to be a positive change in the end or a negative one.

Of course, things could very well change by the time LG V30 nears launch. We have to keep in mind that the V20 was unveiled only in September this year, so the V30 is still close to 9 months away from going official. While LG hasn’t been able to achieve great success with its mainstream G-series flagships in the recent past, both the V10 and the V20 have been more successful, especially in the US market. The fact that Samsung has discontinued the Galaxy Note 7 is also helping the V20 gain greater popularity among consumers in the United States. However, the V30 will need to be a very impressive if LG wants it to be successful, as it would have to take on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 as well as the Apple iPhone 8 Plus.
