How this fascinating deep learning technology by LG works will be done by capturing followed by analysing its user’s lifestyle patterns using your home appliances so as to turn your life into an even more convenient one.
For instance, within your own house, if the general layout remains the same for awhile, your robotic vacuum cleaner will understand and remember these “obstacles” so that it will learn to be able to avoid them as time goes by.
Another instance where this technology might come in handy would be a very common issue faced by Singaporeans. As our weather gets hotter and more humid by the day. ice consumption in our households are hitting an all-time high. By trying to predict users’ usage and consumption patterns, the smart refrigerator will know when to fill the ice tray to meet the demand of those living at home. This even works for smart air conditioners, which will be set to the coolest automatically when family gatherings happen, in the living room, on weekends. Ingenious isn’t it?
We hope to see more at CES 2017, but if smart home technology takes off in 2017, LG’s technology might just help spearhead and pioneer it to the next level.
