LETV Leeco 2: A Midranger with an Entry-Level Price

A 5.5-inch smartphone, the LeEco Le 2 is a budget device priced at an entry-level price of $149. The full-HD screen of the device alongside its remarkable midrange processor makes it stand out amongst the crowd. With the dimensions of 151.10 x 74.20 x 7.50 (height x width x thickness) and a decent weight of 153.00 grams, the Le 2 is a pretty portable phablet.

The LeEco Le 2’s biggest selling point is its powerful 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor. This is a chipset that high-end midrangers (priced above $400) use. Alongside 3GB worth of RAM, the Le 2 should see absolutely no lags when it comes to running productivity applications.

However, the Le 2 is only armed with 32GB worth of internal memory. Although this is decent for a midrange smartphone, the fact that the memory can’t be expanded using an external storage could pose a problem for some users.

The Le 2 also comes with a 16-MP camera on the rear and an 8-MP camera on the front, which is much better than what most smartphones this price offer in terms of resolution. However, as with most cheaper devices, don’t expect the Le 2 to shoot brilliant photos, especially under low-light conditions.

There is also a 3000mAh non-removable battery that powers this midrange smartphone. That’s currently the industry average for Android smartphones so there’s not much to mention there.

However, the Le 2 appears to be quite a powerful smartphone for its price and it’s definitely worth taking a look at. If you are on a budget and your top priority for a smartphone is speed and performance. However, if you are a media junkie that often finds yourself in need of extra space to store your Game of Thrones episodes, the Le 2 might not be for you.

The Le 2 can be purchased here for $149.
