Lenovo Vice President has revealed via a Weibo post that the much expected ZUK Edge smartphone will be launched on December 20 at 14.00. We hope this is the final teaser as the device had earlier been teased to go on sale on December 7 but that ended up not happening.
The ZUK Edge is Lenovo’s response to Xiaomi’s Mi Mix which was released few months back with a stunning bezel-less display that occupies almost the entire screen. But then its design looks like an upgraded version of the ZUK Z2 Pro, especially when viewed on the white version. The device has a flat display and a design with less bezels at the sides. Ironically it is called Edge, prompting some persons to term the device as Lenovo’s redefinition of Edge phones.
As a reminder, the Lenovo ZUK Edge will launch with a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a 2.35GHz Snapdragon 821 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. It will also join the ranks of Huawei’s Mate 9 to be one of the few Chinese phones launching with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. In addition, the ZUK Edge will have a 13MP primary camera on the back, and an 8MP sensor in front for selfies. The phone will be powered by a 3000mAh battery.
