Last year at this time Lenovo launched its popular Vibe P1 handset that sports a 5000mAh battery providing up to three days of normal usage with no charging. The battery and the technology it came with also allow users to charge the phone in three hours. Agree this is a great option for current smartphones that are packed with big screens and fast processors, therefor they consume more. The Lenovo Vibe P1 has been also included in the (our) list of the best Chinese smartphones priced from $100 to $200. As always happens, the manufacturer decided to launch the successor to this awesome handset and the first rumors concerning the Lenovo Vibe P2 we heard a month ago. Now another bunch of info has been leaked.
This morning the Lenovo Vibe P2 has been leaked in a Bluetooth certifying document. The phone is codenamed as the P2a42, and though many users won’t benefit due to this info, we can suppose the P2 refers to the official naming. Anyway, the leaked document showcases the Vibe P2 will sport a 5.5-inch display, a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary camera.
Earlier it’s been rumored the Vibe P2 will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 paired with an Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM and it will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. As for its predecessor, the Lenovo Vibe P1 is packed with a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 16 GB of ROM, and 13MP and 5MP cameras. Thus if the leaked info is correct, we can say there won’t be many changes in comparison to the prior model. So may be this is not the Lenovo Vibe P2 but the Lenovo Vibe P1 Plus like the case related with the Meizu Pro 6 Plus.
At last, there has been left one more feature of the Lenovo Vibe P2 we didn’t talk about – it’s the battery. I guess people should associate the Lenovo Vibe P line with the big battery handsets. Thus the manufacturer must pack the upcoming model with the same or bigger battery not to bury the success.
