Lenovo nets US$157 million in 3Q16
Press release, November 4; Adam Hwang, DIGITIMES [Friday 4 November 2016]

Lenovo has reported third-quarter 2016 (its fiscal second-quarter 2016) consolidated revenues of US$11.231 billion, gross margin 14.31%, net operating profit US$215 million and net profit US$157 million.

Lenovo shipped 14.5 million notebooks, desktops and tablets for a global market share of 21.5% and generated revenues of US$7.8 billion in the third quarter. The company shipped 14 million smartphones globally under its brands Lenovo and Motorola, and brought in revenues of US$2 billion in the third quarter. Lenovo posted third-quarter revenues of US$1.1 billion from servers, storage equipment, software and IT services.

Of the third-quarter consolidated revenues, US$3.2 billion came from China, slipping 4% on year, US$1.9 from the Asia Pacific region except China, down 4%, US$2.7 billion from EMEA, down 14%, and US$3.4 from North and Latin Americas, down 7%.
