It turns out the upcoming Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 premium flagship will sport all the best hardware and the latest innovations. If you do not believe in these words, just check out the spotted Xiaomi conference files (that should be the presentation slides) found on the net today. Those PPT files confirm some features we have already heard before, but the rest of them showcase Xiaomi will use a few innovations as well. No reason to trust them, but we want these leaked photos to be real. If it is so, no handset can be compared with the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2.
We have been thinking the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will sport a Snapdragon 835 chip found on the latest top-notch devices. Later it was rumored this model will come with the upgraded version of the aforementioned SoC, and it will be dubbed as the Snapdragon 836. This chip should also appear in such devices as the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and Google Pixel 2. We despaired this could happen when Qualcomm denied the existence of a Snapdragon 835 successor. The leaked PPT files show the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will be packed with a Snapdragon 836. And I think I know what this means. But we’ll talk about it below.
The second surprising feature we’ll see in this handset is the support for under-glass fingerprint identification technology. We have been waiting for it starting the Xiaomi Mi 5S. But this device as well as its successor, the Xiaomi Mi 6 didn’t come with it. However, we have been keeping waiting for it, as a rumor had it the next Mi phone should use this technology for sure. That’s why we have been always sure, Xiaomi will manage to finish this technology before the launch of the Mi MIX 2. Unfortunately, a month ago CrucialTec, a South Korean biometric technology company, announced no smartphone maker will use this technology in its flagships this year. We believe in Xiaomi, and not in vain. The PPT files claim this handset will use it!
Third, those presentation files also reveal the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will sport an 8GB of RAM, 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage, 4G+ connectivity, NFC, 4500mAh battery supporting 685Wh charging, dual-camera on the back using a Sony IMX386 and Samsung S5K3M3 (the same camera as on the Xiaomi Mi 6), and a full screen with no bezels at 6 inches. At last, this model will support iris recognition. But this is not anything new, as we have already seen such a handset in face of the Homtom HT10. So what you think how much the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will cost? – 4099 yuan ($632).
