While Microsoft plans to discontinue its Lumia lineup and feature phone business, the company is still committed to the Windows 10 Mobile operating system. Both the desktop and mobile updates are expected to start rolling out simultaneously, but no word on when. Some reports mention April as a launch date, but that has yet to be confirmed
According to screenshots posted by Aggiornamenti Lumia, the next Redstone 2 update will further unify the desktop and mobile systems to offer similar experiences across all devices. There are some small changes to the phone update section with different naming.
The Continuum feature will also receive some changes that will improve the stability. The Proximity Connect feature will also be implemented, which allows the device to connect to a dock wirelessly through Bluetooth pairing.
