Kodak Ektra Launched in U.S with 21 MP Camera

Kodak for over the years has been famous for their cameras. But they are now going to bring out their Smartphone. The Kodak Ektra is going to come with a mammoth 21-megapixel camera on the back which will carry point to shoot feature.
Kodak has announced long back in 2016 that they will be launching a phone. Kodak assured that the phone would be a joint effort with Bullitt Group and Kodak. As per the reports, Kodak has provided a lot of intakes in the designing of Ektra.

Kodak had strategically launched Ektra in Europe a few months back and are now all set to woo the American market with the phone. A source from Kodak said that the launch in US was delayed to address the concerns like shutter lag. There will be a new software update which will come with the phone. The new software will carry increased features like RAW file support, better low light performance, face detection camera and many other functions. The new update will also be instrumental in solving the shutter lag problem.

Unique Design

The overall design of the Ektra will remind you of the old cameras of Kodak. There is a notable leather on the back side of the phone and big camera which gives it a unique touch. The large size of the camera is just a design effect, and the phone will not carry optical zoom. There will be an anti-glare glass which can collect more light and thus improve significantly on the quality of the images. The design of the camera is a bit chunky and can be used for single-handed photography.

Specification

The phone comes with a fully loaded specs and would come with USB C Type charging port, full HD resolution, 3000mAh battery and 3 GB of RAM. There is a MediaTek’s Helio X20 deca-core processor which can carry out any task without problem. The phone will come with Android 6.0 and will get an upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat. There will be complete stock experience as no modifications will be provided by Bullitt.

Availability and Price

U.S. Ektra will support GSM network and will only work with T-Mobile and AT&T. The Phone will come with the tag of $400.
