Kenmec secures more than NT$3 billion worth of automation equipment orders, says report
Jessie Shen, DIGITIMES, Taipei [Tuesday 27 September 2016]

Kenmec Mechanical Engineering has a backlog of orders totaling more than NT$3 billion (US$95.5 million) on strong orders for automation equipment from China and Taiwan, according to a recent Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.

Kenmec, at the end of 2015, secured NT$527 million worth of orders from Chimei Materials Technology’s Kunshan plant, said the report. The orders are set to buoy Kenmec’s sales performance during 2016.

Kenmec has responded saying it was not the source of the report.

Kenmec has reported consolidated revenues of NT$5.39 billion (US$172 million) for the first eight months of 2016, down 14.9% on year.

Kenmec posted net profits of NT$295.7 million in the first half of 2016, with EPS coming to NT$0.49 compared with NT$0.07 a year earlier.
