If you don’t want to pay a fortune for a laptop, there are too many options coming our way from Chinese (and not only) manufacturers you can choose from. But if you are not familiar with them, it’s too easy to be nicely left. So once you are going to acquire a new notebook at an affordable price, take a look at the laptop deals and reviews we are coming in. This is the case. Today we are going to review a newly launched laptop that has managed to attract too many customers. Meet the Jumper EZBook 3, a great product offered at only $199.99.

As you can see, there are not many changes in comparison to the previous-gen Jumper EZBook 2. But it’ll be naïve to think the manufacturer has come with the same product. The first and the biggest enhancement refers to the SoC. The EZBook 2 sports an Intel Atom Cherry Trail Z5-X8300 processor, while this model is packed with an Intel Celeron N3350 (Apollo Lake). The memory combination remains the same. The rest of features seems to be left the same, but we have to take a closer look in order to understand whether it is so or not.
Like other Chinese products this model comes with a standard box content. The packaging includes a charger, manual, certification claiming the laptop has passes the test, and the EZBook 3 laptop itself.
As we are dealing with a cheap laptop, it’s expected to see a housing made of plastic instead of metal. But this doesn’t mean it should come with a poor texture.
Looking at the laptop from a distance we can say the Jumper EZBook 3 is very thin. It’s incorrect to say we are dealing with an ultrabook, but the dimensions it comes at are too impressive (32.80 x 22.00 x 1.80 cm).
Well, this model comes with a list of useful ports and slots we should take a glance at. The left side carries a DC-IN, USB 3.0, and miniHDMI ports. There is also a small LED next to the DC-IN port lightened when charging.
The right side comes with a microSD card slot, USB port, and audio jack.
There is nothing on the front and back, but to assess its thickness from all sides we have to take a peek at them as well.
The bottom side is made of plastic as well. There are too many screws holding the bottom panel tight. Other than that, we can also see four rubber legs as well as two speakers.
The keyboard comes with an English array. The keys are big larger than expected, but they do not prevent to type correctly. Surprisingly, the Power button is located on the upper right side. Many may think it’s OK, but when using the Backspace you may turn the laptop off accidentally. On the other hand, Apple products have similar keyboards. At last, the keys are flat and they are placed at an acceptable distance.
The camera is placed on lower left corner. It’s unusual to see the camera there. Plus, I guess it’s uncomfortable to use it when making Skype calls.
Generally, the Jumper EZBook 3 looks stylish like its predecessor. But this model comes with stricter design elements.
The display comes with IPS technology. This is great and if you want to compete with top brands, you should make laptops with such a screen, undoubtedly. Say, Apple is one of the pioneers in this field, and IPS screen technology is always related with this name. So we can say the Jumper EZBook 3 competes with Apple MacBook in some sense.
However, it’s one thing what’s written on paper, and quite another how it behaves in the actual life. As for this product, the overall coloring is not bad, but when you work with documents they look whitish as well as the letters look thin. But do not forget wits price is too low, and such disadvantages are expected.
Though we have already managed to review products packed with Apollo Lake like the Chuwi Lapbook 14.1, but none of them comes with a model of N3350. It works on a 14nm process technology. There are two cores clocked up to 2.40GHz.
This chip is paired with an Intel HD Graphics 500 running at 650MHz, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of eMMC storage. Thanks to it the EZBook 3 is capable of loading regular games quickly, but when it comes to heavy games the loading time takes a bit longer as well as playing becomes annoying.
It is also equipped with a 38Wh battery. Though the official life time is announced to be about 4 hours, we think you will be able to use it longer. Look, we tested it by watching videos on YouTube for 15 minutes, playing games for 15 minutes, testing it via a couple benchmarks, and finally typing for 2 hours. The power consumption was 25%. Therefore it should keep working up to 6-7 hours.
- Full HD display
- Acceptable memory combination
- Stylish look
- Large battery
- Good connectivity options
- Affordable price
- Processor
- Camera
The Jumper EZBook 3 is currently sold for only $199.99. Agree this is a great pricing for an Intel-powered laptop that also sports a list of decent features. We can say the selling point of this device is its price tag, but this doesn’t mean the laptop itself is dry as a chip. So the final verdict for the Jumper EZBook 3 is the following: if you want to own a good-looking laptop with mid-range features, but you don’t want to fork out, the EZBook 3 is a great choice.
