It's Been a Crazy Week for Apple Customers

232

It’s been one of the most bizarre weeks when it comes to the behavior of Apple customers.

First, a sunglasses-wearing man flew into an iRage inside of an Apple store in Dijon, France, walking around the store and methodically smashing iPhones, iPads and computers.

The incident was captured on video and shows the man coolly destroying thousands of dollars worth of Apple products with a metal bowling ball until a security guard stopped him.

The man was apparently ticked off about being refused a refund and alleged Apple “violates customer rights,” according to the BBC.

Local media reported the man was arrested and a police investigation is underway. Apple declined to comment.

The crazy train doesn’t stop there, though.

An iPhone 7 video hoax made the rounds this week, claiming customers upset about the absence of a traditional headphone jack in their iPhone 7 can drill into the device to reveal a hidden port.

While it’s unclear how many people fell for the do-it-yourself prank solution, the video has been viewed more than 13 million times.

Some enraged commenters even claimed to have tried the DIY hack and complained when it — unsurprisingly — did not work.

It’s important to consider the source before doing something radical to a device that has a starting price of $649. The video comes from TechRax, whose other videos include “What Happens If You Microwave an iPhone 7?” and “How to Properly Grind an iPhone 6.”
