The Xiaomi Poco F1, which is one of the many flagships with affordable prices that this Chinese company has launched, was presented in India last month, and went on sale for the third time just today. This smartphone, introduced under the sub-brand of the Chinese manufacturer called Poco, has generated a stir in the market due to its aggressive price in the mid-range segment.
The Poco F1 is equipped with several features that have been seen in other devices, such as it’s RAM of up to 8GB, the Snapdragon 845 processor with LiquidCool technology, a screen of 6.18 inches and more. However, now the company made the decision to reveal a couple of new features that will be seen in this smart device, which includes splash resistance and Quick Charge 4.0 support.
The Xiaomi Poco F1 features Quick Charge 4.0
During the official launch of the Xiaomi Poco F1 in India, the company said that the smartphone supports Quick Charge 3.0 from Qualcomm. As of now, the official page of this phone on Mi.com also shows the same information and, to back that up, it also comes with a ready-to-use Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 9V / 2A (18W) quick charger. Having said that, and taking a bit of the opposite, according to a tweet from Poco India, this is the first phone from this company to come with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 support.
Notably, the Xiaomi Poco F1 does not come with a ready-to-use Quick Charge 4.0 compatible charger, but oddly enough, this Xiaomi smartphone is still on Qualcomm’s list of Quick Charge 3.0 devices.
In addition, it is also resistant to splashes
In another tweet, Poco India confirmed that the Poco F1 is resistant to splashing. It has been revealed that this device has P2i certification, which is popular for its liquid repellent nanotechnology; this certification means essentially that the Xiaomi Poco F1 is able to withstand any kind of splash and spills of liquids that can be given daily easily. However, since the smartphone is not waterproof, it is advisable to keep it away from any danger.
On the other hand, and in other news, Jai Mani, who is the Product Manager and in charge of Poco Global, said in a tweet that the company is being repaired to launch a new OTA update for other regions regarding the function of facial unlocking that can be enabled by configuring it in India. Also, Mani also clarified that the smartphone has 2 intelligent power amplifiers that offer a stereo effect from the bottom speaker, instead of having stereo speakers.
