Like the last few iPhones, apple’s new 2016 smartphones come in two sizes. Ther’es the 4.7 inch iPhone 7 which sells for $649 and up, and the 5.5 inch iPhone 7 Plus which is priced at $769 and up.

But the screen size isn’t the only difference between the two phones. The iPhone 7 Plus also has Apple’s fancy new dual camera setup. And it turns out the iPhone 7 Plus also has more RAM than the 4.7 inch model.

The iPhone 7 Plus has 3GB of RAM, while the iPhone 7 has just 2GB.

That means the iPhone 7 Plus has more memory than any iOS device other than the 12.9 inch iPad Pro… although the phone still has half the RAM you’ll find in some high-end Android smartphones. Since iOS and Android handle memory management differently, it’s not really an oranges to oranges comparison.

Both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus feature Apple A10 processors, 7MP front-facing cameras, IP67 water and dust resistant cases, and Apple’s new touch-based home button.

But in addition to the differences in RAM, the larger model has a 1920 x 1080 pixel (401 ppi) display while the iPhone 7 has a 1334 x 750 pixel (326 ppi) screen.

And the iPhone 7 Plus has two rear cameras: one with a standard lens and the other with a 2X telephoto lens. The second camera enables support for up to 2X optical or 10X digital zoom and when paired with the iPhone’s image processing hardware and software, it enables bokeh photography effects, among other things.
