Barely a day before the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are set to be made official, an alleged image showing the iPhone 7 in the new blue shade has surfaced on the web. The image apparently comes from the folks at MobileFun.co.uk, a UK-based mobile accessories retailer.
It was rumored a few weeks back that Apple will be introducing a new ‘Deep Blue’ shade with the new iPhone 7 models this year, but the leaked image seems to show a much lighter shade of Blue than we had expected. It does look really classy though, so we do think many buyers will be quite happy to own a new iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus in this new Blue finish. However, another recent report had claimed that the iPhone 7 will only be available in Silver, Dark Black, Piano Black, Gold, and Rose Gold color options. So there is a possibility that the iPhone seen in the picture above could be an early prototype and the final models will not be offered in this blue shade.
We will not have to wait too long to find out, as Apple will be holding its iPhone event in less than 24 hours from now. Both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to be minor upgrades over last year’s models. Some of the key changes that you can look forward to include a more powerful Apple A10 chipset, 32GB of base storage, a ‘Force Touch’ home button, faster connectivity, water resistance, dual camera setup on the bigger iPhone 7 Plus, optical image stabilization on the iPhone 7, and of course the iOS 10 operating system. The iPhone 7 duo will also be the first to not include a 3.5mm headphone jack. Instead, they will ship with a Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter and new Lightning EarPods in the box.
